Adv. Character Animation: Walk
We were supposed to make an irregular walk; a walk that wasn't just a walk cycle translated forward. So, I made a guy walking on his hands, because I've never really seen that before. I think I'll revisit the walking on hands animation, and try to make a better one.

Facial animation: dialogue
in this assignment the instructor gave us a piece of dialogue (actually four to choose from) from a movie and animate it with whatever character we wanted. I had this guy drawn in my sketch book on march 25, and I thought the dialogue piece I chose would be something this guy would say. I made everything in flash except the hummer which is a vector render out of maya (flash element made in a 3d program).

facial animation: sleep/death
on this one we had to make a character fall asleep or wake up with atleast 5 seconds of animation, then have a character die or come to life in at least 5 seconds. I combound the two into one video, and made the dinosaur fall asleep, and die in his sleep. I originally had another idea for the death animation, but someone suggested that I kill the dinosaur in his sleep, so I thought of the best way to kill a dinosaur; I had to hit it with a car.

facial animation: chew
This assignment required there to be the consumption and chewing of some object by a charcter, and be at least 5 seconds long. I made the assets in flash a while back for a specific scene in a short that is still a work in progress. It turned out pretty good concidering I didn't think I'd make him move like this when I built him.

Facial animation: head turn
This assignmet was to focus on turning the head of a character in reaction to something. I focused on the animation of the small robot, and added the guy later, I can see now that it degraded the whole thing. I also experimented with making the two animations separate, and reference them into to the scene at the end which did not work well, so I will probably not use that approach again.

Ogre and the Flower
A bit of animation and some of the animatic on my "Ogre and the Flower" short that I'm making.
Newer Pencil tests
Arbian lunging at victim. Pencil test I did a few weeks ago of a creature for my Monolith storyline, it's called an Arbian.
A rock dragon looking under it's foot. Since this one is so short I want to expand on it and make it a short film with the dragon interacting with some small creature.

character animation assignment: TURN
In character animation, the turn project. I believe it was week 2 or 3.
I tried to be more exaggerated on this one, but I might try doing it again so it will look better. Specifically, I need to fix the leading hand an the fold at the waist, and touch up some other ticks. Sort of a WIP even though I already turned it in for the assignment, I plan on working on it until it looks good.
